BeConnected is a government-funded initiative which provides training through their website for those aged 50+ improve their online skills. The Good Things Foundation coordinates the Be Connected Network, and the Venus Bay Community Centre is one of their 1,100 network partners.

 

This national network of organisations ensures seniors have digital skill-building support right in their local community. 

Access to the BeConnected training portal requires registration but is free. The learning resources cover a wide variety of topics from the most basic to the more advanced. They include areas of interest such as internet browsing, online shopping, management of your digital devices, file handling, social media and much more.
