The River Poles project is now complete - this project is about Placemaking - connecting people with place and increasing awareness of the natural environment we share.

 

Showcasing the beautiful natural features of our fragile coastal and river ecosystem, providing a legacy of information about who and where we are and an illustration of our past, present, and future.

The poles are placed alongside the river track that unites Venus Bay and Tarwin Lower. They are placed at five separate intervals along the track.

 

Each pole has an image and a few details about the item. They cover things that such as birdlife, animals, fish and history of the river.

The walk is approximately 4 kilometres.
